EPA Finds Limited Risks From DINP Uses In Novel Draft TSCA Evaluation
EPA is proposing to find that just three uses of the phthalate known as DINP pose unreasonable risks that could warrant regulation as part of a newly released draft TSCA evaluation, including two workplace applications that the agency is conceding may have already been abandoned by employers. EPA’s Aug. 30 draft DINP evaluation concludes that out of 45 “conditions of use” it considered, only two industrial uses and one consumer use of the chemical “significantly contribute to the unreasonable risk”...
